I wish to happy new year for all.

The new years eve’s fire works tradition seems to changing. Also the fire works over the new years celebration sky but we could see some small lights floating. The most of Swedes are remembered of the thousands of lantern lights because of the memorial for tsunami catastrophe 2004. Every year, it happen many accidental problems with fire works. Quiet and peaceful new years trend will getting bigger instead of exiting and crazy celebration.

2012年が良い年であります様に。

ストックホルムの年越しは少し違った雰囲気でした。沢山の花火に混じって、フワフワと浮く光が浮遊していました。2004年のスマトラ島沖地震ではスウェーデン人も多く犠牲になり、その供養の際数千ものランタンを一斉に上げたのは記憶に残っています。花火での事故は毎年多く、華やかな祝いからから穏やかな希望を込めた大晦日にこれからトレンドが移行して行くと思われます。

Japanese high-tech toilets

It´s still unusual and really special that Japanese shower toilets in Sweden. A Swedish man loves the shower toilet and he imported two TOTO´s latest model. Instraction written by Japanese so swedish carpenter impossible to build the toilets. Because I got call to set up them. Swedish carpenter never have seen that kind of toilets and laughed and took video with thier smart phnones.

日本のシャワートイレはスウェーデンでは本当に珍しい。しかしTOTOの新しいモデルを２台日本から輸入し、新築の家に入れる愛好者がいる。取扱説明書は全て日本語、もちろんスウェーデンの大工さんには解らない。そこで私がトイレの組み立てに呼ばれた。大工達は大笑いでスマートフォンで動画を撮っていた。

urbnCal 2012

The release party of “urbnCal 2012” at Manos, Stockholm, 13th of October. urbncal is the calendar which collected the street numbers from different capital city.  Since 2010 Stockholm, Copenhagen then Helsinki 2012. Graphic designer JOLLYGOODFELLOW who share our office do the project. Calender is 500 limited.

“URBANCAL” アーバンカルの2012年のリリースパーティーがストックホルムの工芸ショップManosで10月13日にあった。アーバンカルは毎年、違った国の首都の街通りの番地を集めカレンダーにしている。2010年ストックホルムから始まり、今年はコペンハーゲン、そして来年はヘルシンキと続く。私がオフィスをシェアするグラフィックデザイナーJOLLYGOODFELLOWのプロジェクトの一つ。カレンダーは500セット限定。

Erik Tidäng exhibition

My friend Erik Tidäng open his own exhibition at LOD. Erik is highly skilled silver smith and designer. His works represented by National Museum Stockhholm、etc. The exhibition continue to 26th of october.

Vandalorum

Vandalorum is a central for design and art at Värnamo in Småland. Renzo Piano sketched architecture 1998 and Tina Wik continuing work and 11 long swedish red barn inspired building will construct. Now four of them finished, entrance and restaurant shop, 2 galleries and hall. Right now they have showing Dick Brun & Miffy.

Bruno Mathsson Center

Bruno Mathosson (1907-1988) is one of Swedish furniture legend. He created a lot of time less design furnitures and architectures. Still his office keeping originally and using as showroom “Bruno Mathosson Center”  at Värnamo in the småland.

Stockholm half marathon

17th of September, beautiful autumn weather,  I ran Stockholm half marathon. About 10,000 people enjoyed shiny town atmosphere.

Shrinking the highest Swedish Mt. Kebnekaise

I have been to hiking Kungsleden hiking trail from Nikkaluokta to Kebnekaise.
Mt. Kebnekaise is the highest mountain in Sweden which concern north peak and south peak. The south peak is highest but cover with the glacier. Traditional measurement of hight is 2,111 m but glacier has shrunk and 2,100 m when remeasured this autumn.
9月初旬、ニッカルオクタからケブネカイセ登山道までのクングスレーデンハイキング道エリアを歩いた。ケブネカイセ山は北、南の山頂を持つスウェーデンで一番高い山。南の方が高いが、氷河に覆われており年々低くなっている。2,111mが公表されているが、この秋の観測では2.100mに下がっていた。
